Sister Sharon E Dillon
Ordained Minister in Chicago, Illinois
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
When the Catholic Church expressed its views about the LGBTQ+ community - I prayed and knew I needed to take action. I became ordained. For me, this is personal, as I have friends and family that are gay/queer/ non-binary, etc. I wanted to represent an openness within the faith that the doctrinal seems to ignore the pastoral aspect of our faith.
Where are you from?
My home is South Bend Indiana. I currently live in Hyde Park, Chicago, in the old Mansion District.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
To be available and to help others celebrate the bond of love and the meaning of a commitment.
