Kelsea J
Ordained Minister in Shelby, Ohio
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I work closely with each couple to ensure the ceremony reflects their values, cultures, identities, and hopes. Whether it's incorporating nontraditional vows, honoring chosen family, blending spiritual elements, or making space for LGBTQ+ love and joy, I treat each ceremony as a unique collaboration. It's not about fitting into a mold — it's about creating a moment that feels honest, affirming, and unforgettable.
Where are you from?
I am from Ohio, but have lived from sea to shining sea!
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
As an officiant, my greatest hope is to create a space where love feels seen, heard, and honored in all its beautiful, diverse forms. I want every couple I work with to feel fully celebrated — not just for who they are together, but for who they are individually, and for the journey that brought them to this moment of commitment.
I aim to craft ceremonies that reflect the heart of each couple's story — their values, their quirks, their culture, and their dreams. My goal is for every person in attendance to feel the depth of connection and meaning, whether they’re laughing through shared memories or wiping away tears of joy. I want the ceremony to feel like a homecoming, a promise, and a celebration all at once.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Shelby, OH wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is that they are deeply personal, inclusive, and rooted in love — not just the love between two people, but also the love they share with their community, their history, and their future. I believe every couple has a story that deserves to be honored in a way that feels authentic to who they are — whether that's through tradition, creativity, spirituality, or something beautifully unconventional.
