Dr. Carol C. Vaughn-Rivera
Ordained Minister in Reidsville, North Carolina
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister out of a heartfelt calling to serve others through faith, compassion, and love. My desire to become ordained was rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to spiritual care, no matter their circumstances. I officiate weddings, offering couples a personalized and meaningful ceremony that honors their love, commitment, and shared journey. It brings me great joy to play a part in such a significant and joyful milestone in their lives.
In addition to weddings, I provide communion and prayer to the sick, elderly, and disabled—whether in hospitals, nursing homes, or private residences. I believe it’s important that those who are unable to attend regular services still feel spiritually connected and cared for.
I also perform house blessings, helping individuals and families invite peace, protection, and God’s presence into their homes. It’s a beautiful way to mark new beginnings or bring healing to a space.
Christenings and baby blessings are another part of my ministry that I hold dear. Welcoming a new life and offering spiritual guidance to a child and their family is an honor I don’t take lightly. Everything I do is guided by faith, love, and a genuine desire to serve.

Additional Information
I am a Christian who lives by faith, love, and the teachings of Jesus Christ. My spiritual foundation is rooted in Christian beliefs, and I strive to reflect those values in every aspect of my ministry and daily life. While I identify as a Christian, I have also spent time visiting Catholic churches in the past. Those experiences gave me a deeper appreciation for the rich traditions, rituals, and reverence found in Catholic worship.
Though I do not practice Catholicism, I value the shared core beliefs that unite all followers of Christ. My journey has helped me develop a respectful and inclusive approach to ministry, allowing me to connect with people from various Christian backgrounds. Whether I’m leading a baby christening, offering communion, or officiating a wedding, I honor the diverse ways individuals and families express their faith.
