Kevin Daniel Hoversland
Ordained Minister in Havre, Montana
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I originally became an ordained minister in college to help out a friend. Their first choice for officiant was very ill, and they asked me to step in. Honestly, it started off a bit as a joke—we all laughed at the idea of me doing the ceremony—but I took it seriously, and it ended up being a really meaningful experience. Over the years, what began as a one-time favor turned into something I’ve grown to truly love.
Officiating has introduced me to a wide range of people, stories, and traditions. Each couple brings something unique, and it’s been an unexpected joy to play a small part in such a big moment of their lives.
Where are you from?
I’m originally from Wolf Point, Montana. After spending a few years away exploring different places and experiences, I found my way back to Havre, where I feel truly at home. Being connected to this community means a lot to me, and it’s an honor to celebrate life’s biggest moments right here with the people I care about.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to create meaningful, personalized wedding ceremonies that truly reflect each couple's love story, values, and unique dynamic. I pursued ordination not just for the legal ability to officiate, but to offer a service rooted in intention, empathy, and connection.
My goal is to be a calming, supportive presence during one of the most important moments in someone’s life. I want couples to feel heard, seen, and celebrated—no matter their background, beliefs, or identity. By being ordained online, I have the flexibility to meet people where they are, both geographically and spiritually, and to help make their vision for the ceremony a beautiful reality.

Additional Information
I’m a proud 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and a lifelong Catholic. My faith is an important part of who I am and influences the respect, care, and intention I bring to every ceremony. While I honor my Catholic roots, I also deeply respect the diverse beliefs and backgrounds of the couples I work with. Whether you're looking for a traditional faith-based ceremony or something more personal and spiritual, I’m here to help create a meaningful experience that reflects your values and love story.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Havre, MT wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the deep level of personalization and connection I bring to each one. I don’t just read a script—I take the time to get to know the couple: their story, values, personalities, and vision for the day. Whether it's a lighthearted, spiritual, traditional, or completely unique ceremony, I tailor the words and tone to reflect who they are as individuals and as a couple.
I also believe in creating an atmosphere that is warm, inclusive, and meaningful not just for the couple, but for everyone in attendance. Guests often tell me they felt more like participants than observers, and that’s exactly what I aim for—something heartfelt and unforgettable.
To me, a wedding ceremony is not just a formality—it’s a powerful moment of transition and celebration, and I treat it with the reverence and joy it deserves.
