James Anderson Ford
Ordained Minister in Durand, Michigan
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I have been a Christian for many years, but didn’t consider becoming a minister until my son asked me to officiate at his wedding. Now that I am ordained, I wonder what the Lord has in store for me. As a college professor, I encounter many students who struggle with the stress of attending college. Perhaps the Lord will find work for me on campus - we will see.
Where are you from?
I have lived most of my life in the great state of Michigan, but I often travel to the Grand Rapids area, as I am also a professor at a university there.

Additional Information
I was baptized in the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. I share UB's emphasis on free will and the ability to choose faith, while also recognizing God's role in providing grace that enables this choice. I believe God provides the opportunity for salvation, and individuals must respond through faith.
