Joshua Messado
Ordained Minister in PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
My journey to becoming an ordained minister was deeply connected to my mission of creating meaningful, transformative moments for others. As a professional magician, I’ve always believed in the power of connection—whether it’s through a shared sense of wonder or inspiring individuals to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.
Becoming ordained felt like a natural extension of this mission. It allows me to not only entertain but also to empower and uplift people during some of the most significant moments in their lives, like weddings or other ceremonies. Much like magic, ministry is about bringing people together, creating joy, and leaving a lasting impact.
This step also aligns with my broader vision of using my talents to inspire and empower, whether through my performances, the Messado School of Magic, or now, my ministry. Both magic and ministry are about transformation, and I’m honored to serve in ways that bring people closer—both to each other and to a sense of wonder in their lives."
Where are you from?
Originally from Philadelphia Pennsylvania but I have made my home in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
Through my ordination, I aim to deepen my ability to inspire and connect with people during life’s most meaningful moments. Whether it’s officiating weddings, hosting ceremonies, or offering guidance, my goal is to create experiences that are as memorable and transformative as my magic performances.
This step aligns perfectly with my broader mission of empowering individuals and fostering connection, especially through my work with Messado Magic and the Messado School of Magic. By blending the art of magic with the meaningful role of ministry, I hope to spark joy, inspire change, and leave a lasting impact on those I serve.
Ultimately, I see this as another way to bring people together, celebrate life’s milestones, and uplift others—because whether it’s through magic or ministry, it’s all about creating moments of wonder and transformation.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a PITTSBURGH, PA wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special as a wedding officiant is the same thing that makes my magic performances unique: a deep focus on creating meaningful, memorable, and personalized experiences. I approach each ceremony with the same dedication I bring to my craft as a magician—paying attention to the details, connecting with the audience (or in this case, the couple and their loved ones), and ensuring the moment feels truly magical.
I believe every couple has a unique story, and I strive to reflect that in every ceremony I officiate. Whether it’s incorporating personalized elements, meaningful rituals, or simply setting the tone for a day filled with love and joy, my goal is to make the experience unforgettable.
Ultimately, it’s about celebrating connection and love in a way that resonates deeply with the couple and everyone present—because, much like magic, a wedding ceremony is all about creating a moment of wonder and connection that lasts a lifetime.
