Wayne Haney

I was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1993 and then stepped away from ordained ministry in 1998. I then focused on a teaching career until I retired from teaching in 2017 after which I started an insurance agency. I’ve never lost my love of helping and serving spiritually and became ordained through the Universal Life Church to make it easier for people needing help with weddings, funerals, and other pastoral offices to find a guide.

I grew up in Michigan, was in northern Virginia for seminary, served parishes in New Hampshire and Michigan, and taught high school and college in Michigan. My wife and I now live in Lake Orion.

My hope and goal is to help provide others a meaningful spiritual experience during key times of transition in their lives. We’re all just walking each other home. I am honored to walk alongside others and share their journey.

I meet with couples preparing to wed three times to plan the ceremony and lay some groundwork for a successful marriage long after the special day is over. I have an eclectic spiritual background and can design ceremonies that comfortable for people of various or no religious backgrounds.
