Anthony Roose

I originally became an ordained minister online because I have always felt drawn to faith, service, and helping people through important moments in their lives. My background in religion and anthropology also gave me a deep appreciation for the different ways people experience faith, family, community, grief, love, and major life transitions. I wanted my ordination to give me another meaningful way to serve others, particularly people who may not always feel fully welcomed or understood in traditional religious spaces.

I am originally from Southeast Michigan and grew up in the Detroit metropolitan area. I currently live in Toledo, Ohio, where I have become increasingly involved in my local community and church. Both Michigan and Ohio have shaped my understanding of community, family, faith, and service.

I hope to use my ordination to create meaningful, inclusive, and compassionate ministry. I would love to officiate weddings and other important life ceremonies, provide spiritual support to people going through difficult transitions, and eventually become more involved in community-based ministry. I am especially interested in supporting LGBTQ+ people, people in recovery, families, and others who may be searching for a welcoming spiritual community. Ultimately, I want my ministry to be centered on love, dignity, service, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel that there is a place for them within a community of faith.
