Brian Dimoff
Ordained Minister in Laramie, Wyoming
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became ordained through the Universal Life Church because a good friend asked me to officiate their wedding. I saw it as an opportunity to support them on one of the most important days of their lives. I’m someone who believes in stepping up for my friends and doing things the right way, and this was no exception. I became ordained online because it was quick, accessible, and allowed me to legally perform my friend’s wedding without any unnecessary complications. I wanted to make sure I could officiate their ceremony with the same level of respect and dedication that I put into everything I do.
Where are you from?
My family is from Wisconsin, but I only spent a short time there since my father was in the military for over two decades, and I followed in his footsteps by serving most of my adult life. I’ve lived all over the country and the world, but Wyoming is home to me now. I love the rugged beauty and the sense of freedom and community that comes with it.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My primary goal is to be there for the people I care about when they need me. Whether it’s officiating a wedding or offering support during important life events, I want to be someone they can count on. My online ordination is a way to make that possible and to continue being of service to those around me.

Additional Information
I am a Bible-believing, baptized Christian, but I consider myself non-denominational. My faith is rooted in a personal relationship with God rather than being tied to any specific church or doctrine. I find that I am closer to God in the mountains, surrounded by His creation, than I ever could be in a building made by people.
To me, faith is about living with integrity, treating others with respect, and appreciating the world God made for us. When I officiate a ceremony, I focus on honoring the commitment being made and reflecting the values that matter to the couple. My goal is to create a moment that feels genuine and grounded, with an emphasis on love, faith, and authenticity. While I became ordained primarily to officiate my friend’s wedding, I’m open to helping others who might need someone they trust to lead their ceremony. Whether it’s a wedding, vow renewal, or other life event, I aim to keep things personal and meaningful.
As a Veteran and Retired Soldier, it would be an honor to assist any member of my extended family in uniform with their ceremony. This includes Local and State Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMTs, and other First Responders. I understand the unique challenges and sacrifices that come with serving the community and the country, and I want to ensure that their special day is handled with the respect and care it deserves.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Laramie, WY wedding officiant?
What makes my ceremonies special is the personal connection and genuine respect I bring to every moment. I know that a wedding is more than just a formality—it’s a commitment, a celebration, and a milestone that deserves to be treated with care and sincerity.
Coming from a military background and having lived all over the world, I’ve learned to appreciate how important it is to make the most of the time we have with the people we care about. I put that mindset into my role as an officiant. I take the time to understand the couple’s story and what makes their bond unique, and I work to make sure the ceremony reflects who they are.
I keep the ceremony straightforward, respectful, and meaningful—never overcomplicating things, but always putting heart into it. At the end of the day, it’s about honoring the commitment they’re making to each other while giving their family and friends a moment to remember.
Are there particular areas near you where you prefer to travel or have special experience?
I’m based in Laramie, Wyoming, and I love traveling throughout southeastern Wyoming. Some of my favorite places to officiate are in the Snowy Range Mountains, Medicine Bow National Forest, and Vedauwoo. There’s something truly special about holding a ceremony surrounded by the natural beauty of these areas.
I have a lot of experience navigating and working in these locations, and I’m more than comfortable with outdoor ceremonies, even in rugged or remote settings. Whether it’s a mountain overlook, a forest clearing, or a unique rock formation at Vedauwoo, I’m happy to help make your ceremony a memorable part of the landscape. I was ordained briefly in North Carolina, Kansas, and Wisconsin, each for a single ceremony of friends. Those experiences helped shape my approach to officiating by teaching me how to adapt to different locations and create meaningful moments, no matter the setting.
