Rev. Lisa Helmick

I’m Rev. Lisa Helmick, a new minister as of August 2024. I have attended Howland Glen Baptist Church for 20 yrs. I started out as the housekeeper, became the sound technician, and secretary. I'm currently studying at the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies the Hebrew Bible and language, also studying religion and philosophy. I’m a wife of 30 yrs, raised 7 children and have 15 grandchildren. I've been through many trials and tribulations my whole life and have always let God guide me in every situation. After a major auto accident God blessed my life once more. I felt led to become a minister to help others to guide them as God has guided me. I also wanted to save the church from closing and turn it into a community center to bring the community together. I want to work for God instead of God working for me. I feel blessed everyday he is my Lord and Savior.
