Patrice L. Shea
Ordained Minister in West Seneca, New York
About Me:
If it's your wedding, child's baptism, or family funeral, it's not the time to take chances in the service you need. I started serving the ministry at 18 years old. From teaching children to my church ministry, it's a gift and honor to be a part of. My goal is to learn as much as you are willing share about the people needing service, it's not just a piece of paper to me, it's an experience as individualized as the person asking.
I'm 42 years old, happily married and blessed with an amazing, bright and energetic son. My wedding was preformed by a minister, at first I was reluctant for a woman, perhaps a little old school myself. Once I met her, she was warm, inviting and made my wedding memorable by the words she choose based on the questions she asked to learn about my husband and I. It was personal, it was beautiful, and it meant so much to me. When she retired, I became ordained myself. Although I have big shoes to fill, I believe I'm making her proud and fulfilling the desires others have when called upon.
I've experienced amazing blessings in life, as well as tragedy and had my faith challenged more than once. Loosing both my parents at a young age has taught be to remain faithful in the uncontrollable. Many times I was sitting bedside for an ill family member, praying as they passed knowing that moment was miraculous, weeping tears of sadness and joy as God brings his child home. These experiences have brought me peace in the afterlife that I can share with others. Being a mother, wife, minister, and professional has taught me to be patient with others, including myself, to be forgiving, humble, grateful, vulnerable and strong. Many words to describe the learnings within myself, and most likely relatable to those reading.
It's my commitment to offer a personal, intimate and professional service to the best of my ability, Christian services, Baptism's, Funeral or Illness, wedding, any non-denominational services requested are welcomed anytime.
I am Christian faith, but believe in equality of all human rights. I serve because of my faith, and the God I believe in, but I don't instill it upon others unless asked. It's a personal decision for everyone and I value and respect every race, religion, and sexual orientation. We are all humans. If I can help, I will be there. Thank you.
