James Ryckman
Ordained Minister in Nashua, New Hampshire
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I started doing weddings when I was asked by my sister to officiate her wedding. I was honored that she chose me, and I found that I had a great time doing so! When the guests at the reception kept asking me if I did it professionally, my response quickly went from "No" to "I'm going to start!" It is my hope that I will be able to help many more couples have the very best ceremony on the very best day of their lives.
Where are you from?
I grew up in Olympia, WA but moved out to New England for work. I do miss the Pacific Northwest sometimes, though. Perhaps I'll officiate a wedding there someday!
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I like talking to couples and making the ceremony unique and personal for them, but I also know that planning a wedding is a ton of work and a ton of stress, so if you want me to take care of it all with just a few minutes of input, that's fine too! Above all, I want to be easy for you to work with.
I am a supporter of marriage equality and LGBTQ+ weddings. Everyone has the right to marry I have always believed this, and I hope to demonstrate those beliefs by officiating everyone's wedding in such a way that they feel comfortable and happy on that special day.
