Min. Henderson Wilborn II
Ordained Minister in TUCSON, Arizona
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I chose to become an ordained minister for various personal reasons: I desired to perform weddings or ceremonies for friends and family, have committed to spiritual growth, and advance my support of the communities I serve. In my late 20s and early 30s, I felt and heard the call to serve in a more formal capacity. After my battle with End-Stage Renal/Kidney Failure, life became simpler, and the need to serve was clear.
Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, which is situated in the Bible Belt—a region of the United States where evangelical Protestantism significantly influences society and politics. After completing college, I founded a local nonprofit organization called "The Sapphire Group." This was my first test of faith, and I served as both founder and board member. Eventually, I felt the urge to relocate to the West Coast and settled in Sacramento, California, for a few years. During that time, I studied liberal arts and worked as a local computer repair technician. Recently, I have moved to Arizona, where I see myself starting anew and embracing fresh beginnings.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
It is my great pleasure to be able to officiate weddings, funerals, and other life events, providing support and services to friends, family, or community members. Serving as a minister brings a sense of purpose and fulfillment, allowing me to contribute positively to people's lives. The ability to offer spiritual guidance and support to those in need within the community.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a TUCSON, AZ wedding officiant?
I always strive to tailor the ceremony to reflect the couple's unique love story, values, and interests. This includes incorporating meaningful anecdotes and elements that resonate with them. I place great importance on embracing cultural, religious, or personal traditions that hold significance for the couple, which helps create a ceremony that honors their backgrounds. None of this would be possible without the emotional connection, preparation, creativity, and engagement of family and friends. By focusing on these aspects, I aim to create a meaningful and memorable experience for both the couple and their guests.
