Jess
Ordained Minister in Scobey, Montana
About Me:
I live and work on farmland--Assiniboine and Sioux land. *We owe our respect and support to Native Americans as they heal from trauma, and fight for our planet. Respect to Black Americans, asylum seekers fleeing land ravaged by greed, starvation, and violence wrought by multinational corporations. Respect to Two Spirit, queer, trans, asexual people. Fighting patriarchy, rape culture, toxic heteronormative social structures, and white-supremacist violence makes me joyful. I'm on a break from graduate school where I study Clinical Mental Health Counseling. It was getting discouraging reading and writing about pathology. I'm interested in what's going right for people, and finding paths to that resilience! *I believe all human beings have a right to safety, dignity, and love. I do not tolerate hate. Being brave and being polite diverge when I hear hate speech, see bullying, encounter domestic violence, see youth thrown away.
