Marieliz Monclova
Ordained Minister in Newark, New Jersey
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became a minister because a close friend asked me to officiate their wedding, and that moment opened a new purpose in my life. As a Holistic Health Coach Momma who has spent years improving my family’s wellbeing, I realized I could bring that same calm, grounded, heart centered energy into ceremonies. Whether I’m showing up as a plantbased baseball mom, an essential oils advocate, or a bilingual interpreter, I love creating simple, meaningful experiences that couples remember for years.
Where are you from?
I grew up in Newark, New Jersey, with deep Puerto Rican roots that shape my warmth, my culture, and the way I connect with families. Because of that background, I’m comfortable blending traditions, honoring both English and Spanish speaking relatives, and even doing ceremonies in Spanglish or full Spanish when needed. My upbringing taught me to value community, and family; all of which show up in the way I serve couples.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My hope is to help build a better, more connected community: one ceremony, one family, one moment at a time. Through ministry, wellness, culture, and compassion, I want people to feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Whether I’m guiding a couple through their vows or helping families through holistic living, my goal is always to uplift, empower, and create experiences that bring people closer together.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Newark, NJ wedding officiant?
