After 20+ years of serving various ministries in traditional churches, I branched out and developed my own denomination of Christianity called Haleism. Haleism shares many similarities with traditional Christian practices, including the Trinity, the life of Christ, and the lessons taught by the Bible. However, the two key differences are that "No one is allowed to join Haleism" and that the "key precept is based on Christ's response to which of the 10 commandments was the greatest".

"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. ' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

This means to Haleites that the most important thing we can do during our time on Earth is to love the people we interact with despite what we might perceive as flaws or sins. Everyone deserves love and respect for being themselves. This allows us to integrate with many religions and denominations without issues or confrontations.

Not allowing others to join is an odd take for a religion, but it is based on my years in other churches. No matter how good-intentioned church elders were, they would inevitably use their power to enforce ideals not based on the Bible or other religious texts. There is a saying that "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely, " which also applies to religion. Not allowing others to join minimizes this effect while allowing us to serve others.
