Rev. Jeremy O'Guin
Ordained Minister in Conroe, Texas
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I would guess that if you asked many of the profiles on ULC why they got ordained would be because some close friend or family member asked them to do so. That was the case with me originally when my kid brother came to me and asked if I would join him and his wife together. As his big brother and his mentor in life I was honored to do so. As a Christian with strong values I was hesitant but I realized very quickly that this was not just my little brother asking me, but God chosing me to do this for him knowing I would only do it if I felt it was right.
Where are you from?
I am a native Texan with strong Irish roots connected to Ireland. I spent 20 years in the fire service both as a volunteer and paid for City Fire Departments and as a wildland fire fighter with the Texas Forest Service. My hobbies include most anything outdoors from hunting and fishing to Coaching youth baseball. I have two sons age 19 and almost 12. My oldest is inlisted in the US Air Force! My youngest plays Travel Baseball and eats and sleeps baseball.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My job as your ceremony officiant is to listen and help you develop language to honor your love. I will have been married for 27 years strong to my one and only wife. This love I have shared with my wife and our children has helped me understand the meaning of unconditional love and the vows taken before God. Your love story is unique as you are and it's my job to help find the words to fit your ceremony. I was raised as a Catholic but practice as non-denominational Christian with very traditional values. From traditional religious ceremonies to humorous, handfasting, unity candles, Lasso and Arras as your minister we will work together to create a ceremony that speaks truth to your unique love, binds you to each other and delivers you and your family joy and love in that most special moment. I will have a consultation with you to make sure I understand your needs and any special requests. Fees may vary depending on travel, location and discounts available for certificate of marriage counseling.
