Todd D
Ordained Minister in Elyria, Ohio
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
A friend thought I was a minister & asked me to officiate a funeral to someone close to him. Then wanting a deeper understanding of all things spiritually, I attended college for “religion” at Liberty University but did not complete the program.
Where are you from?
Born & raised in Ohio, with Kentucky roots.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I understand people having needs for a spiritual person to get through the ceremonial funeral or wedding & am able to be that person. Also, in Ohio it is law to be married by someone the state approves as a “minister”. Along the way, I am open to others beliefs & can mold a service as they choose.
Religious Affiliations
Christianity, Universal Life Church, Other, None
Additional Information
I was raised between non-denominational Christian churches, some visits to Church of Christ & Southern Baptist. I’m often mistaken as as Southern Baptist but I assure you, my beliefs will not intrude if you disagree. I enjoy a good preachin but also plain conversation about beliefs. Or we can keep it quiet & not mention God at all.
What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Elyria, OH wedding officiant?
I’ll make my part as the couple want. Formal in a suit or casual in t-shirt & shorts. Only thing I cannot change is my southern accent that is heard by others but not myself.
