Nikki
Ordained Minister in Spartanburg, South Carolina
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I became an ordained minister because I wanted to create a space where people could explore life's deeper questions openly and honestly, without feeling judged or pressured to believe a certain way. I was raised in the Southern Baptist tradition, attended Christian private school, and later studied theology. That foundation shaped me deeply, but life also taught me that people come to faith, meaning, healing, and understanding in many different ways. Over the years, my approach to ministry has become less about having all the answers and more about being of service. I believe sometimes people need guidance, sometimes they need practical support, and sometimes they simply need a safe place to think, question, talk, and be heard. I respect that we don't all believe the same things—and I don't think we have to. My goal isn't to convince anyone to follow my path. It's to meet people where they are, encourage curiosity and self-awareness, and help create space for greater understanding, compassion, and connection. For me, ministry is ultimately about how we show up for one another.

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I intend to use my ordination to create real impact—not just hold a title. My focus is on supporting people during pivotal life moments and offering guidance that is grounded, honest, and free from judgment. I want to provide an alternative to rigid or one-size-fits-all approaches to spirituality by encouraging critical thinking, self-awareness, and personal alignment. Ultimately, my goal is to help people navigate life with more clarity, confidence, and ownership of their beliefs.
