I can sing 'your song' - or even help you choose the perfect song and sing it- at your ceremony in addition to presiding over your wedding! I’m not a wedding singer in the traditional sense. I will not show up and sing dance songs with a band at your reception. I will add something special to your ceremony with music. I am a serious professional vocalist and BMI songwriter with an extensive resume of vocal performance in all contemporary styles. I started on the path of officiating entirely by accident. Being the 'designated' singer in my family, it has always been assumed that I would sing ‘At Last’, or something appropriately equivalent, at every wedding ceremony, funeral or celebration of a family member or friend- or friend of a friend- for as long as I can remember. I have sung the first dance in a gown with a full orchestra for a televised celebrity In-Style wedding in Santa Barbara, California, in a small exchange of vows in a gazebo in Ohio and in bare feet in the wooded mountains of Topanga Canyon. A friend suggested I get ordained so I could sing at their wedding AND perform the ceremony. I knew almost immediately upon starting the process of writing their ceremony with them that marrying people was the best possible combination of my superpowers- singing and word crafting and my deep love of meeting and getting to know new people. I can also work with you to add a unity ritual unique to your relationship or location I hope you will consider giving me the honor of creating the perfect ceremony with you, presiding, and even singing your song, at your wedding!
