Jamar Khary
Ordained Minister in Spring Valley, California
About Me:
Officiating at a funeral means meeting with the family for a couple of hours, going over the deceased’s life, and writing a unique eulogy (I usually give the family a copy of the eulogy after the funeral). I identify the order of speakers, prayers and discuss it with the funeral or cemetery director. I arrange with the cemetery director the timing of the lowering of the body, the presence of earth for the family to shovel into the grave.
Officiating at a funeral entails more than just “speaking at the funeral.” If that is all you want, and someone else is organizing the service, then the fees are negotiable .
