Bhai Sahiba ShabadPriya Kaur is an observant Amritdhari Sikh with 4.5 years experience as Head Granthi (Priest) at a Dallas (TX, USA) Gurugar and 2 years experience as an Itinerant Granthi.

The BhaiSahiba came to Sikhi after a 10 year retirement from Boeing Aircraft, where she was an IT Compliance and Governance Manager for Boeing's part's distribution subsidiary. Before that, she had a 20 year career in IT Compliance, where she was a Technical Writer, Trainer, or Process Engineer.

As 1 of only 2 professional female Granthis (worldwide) tolerated by the SGPC, ShabadPriya represents Sikhs well on the International Interfaith stage as a skilled public speaker. Her Katha (sermons) often reference not only her own faith's writings, but that of her audiences as well. She consistently delivers messages on Unity, Equality, Peace, and Universal Brotherhood as she speaks before NGO's attached to the United Nations, International Interfaith groups, US Government and Business Leaders, and diverse faith congregations.

Her relaxed but professional style, mixed with her extensive knowledge of spiritual belief systems and cultures allow her to relate to her audience in a way that endears her (and her messages) to all.

Within the Sikh Comunity, ShabadPriya is a rising Community Spokesperson, working to normalize the Sikh Articles of Faith at public events and venues and helping to address specific needs of her community as they arise.

ShabadPriya is currently pursuing her TEFL Certification, and planning to offer Free ESL (English) instruction to local immigrant communities.

She also mentors new Sikhs who are English-Dependent; teaches others how to recite their Nitnem (Sikh daily prayers); performs Granthi duties and supports Ragis (as Seva); and supports Gurdwaras and South Asian Media Outlets in their Outreach and Inreach efforts.

ShabadPriya is proving that life may slow a little at 60, but there is still far too much to do to sit and home and do nothing.
