Jane Sandford
Ordained Minister in Cornwall, England
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I wanted the freedom to meet people where they actually are, not where an institution says they should be. I was interested in the human bits of life that don’t come with a script, the moments that sit between belief, doubt, ritual and meaning. Online ordination gave me a way to hold space without dogma, to honour personal truth, and to offer something grounded and thoughtful without pretending I had all the answers.

What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
My ultimate goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive space for everyone. I am proud to officiate same-sex marriages, and I am passionate about standing as an ally for the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to create a personalised experience for each couple, ensuring that their love story is told and celebrated in a way that’s as unique as they are.
