Julius Abungana
Ordained Minister in kakamega, Kakamega
About Me:
I am ordained Minister and I endowed with the gift of discernment which am able to know if marriage will stay or not am also experienced in over 30 years of pastoral work in Africa and the UK. he calling into Ministry work had been manifested by non-documented testimonies of healing, deliverance from demonic attacks and change of life for many drug addicts and alcoholics. The cornerstones of our ministry has always been a free pulpit, thoughtful believe and conviction of biblical teachings, an extensive local and national outreach ministry, and worship that is beautiful and draws upon the historic traditions of the first church. In the words of our first senior minister, Bishop Julius, “A free pulpit is the very essence of religious and political democracy where the Holy Ghost assumes the entire program during a service. A free pulpit means encouragement to break new trails in thought and action; a free pulpit is a great bulwark against fleshy tyranny.”
For more than 20 years, we've built a reputation as a place where members are encouraged to ask questions, debate issues and seek truth through divine prayer and prophecy. The church has flourished under the leadership of strong senior ministers, strong lay leadership and high-quality volunteers. Our doors are open to all who wish to follow Jesus on a journey of faith. elievers Revival Mission is an ecumenical congregation in the Kenya Independent Pentecostal Churches tradition with about 2,196 total members on the rolls, including about 800 active members currently spread over Kakamega County. The church is located on 2 acres in one of the oldest neighborhoods within the outskirts of Kakamega municipality. Ours is a prosperous church anchored on giving out in love, hope and faith to the marginalized and poor vulnerable communities
Believers Revival Mission was founded in 1996 by a visionary group of families that shared a dream led by Bishop Julius Abungana to build a church that preached the gospel and reflected the spirit of religious freedom rooted in the Pentecostal Revival tradition. They also envisioned a place where people would have the right to interpret scripture for themselves and where congregants could serve as priests to one another. They further offered the society the real option to tackle stress and depression which contributed to rampant cases of suicide and homicides in the African setting.
We are a healthy church in the midst of transitions − from one senior minister to another; from an aging congregation to one rich in younger members and families; from a haven for progressive Baptism to a home for members from many denominational and faith backgrounds. The Ministry doors are open to strong preachers and a vigorous spirit led servants to work with the congregation to build on the church’s progressive tradition as embodied in its open and inquiring approach to theology, its dedication to Christian education and its commitment to taking care of people in need, vulnerable and marginalized.
