My mother was a minister in a generation where women simply weren't. As a spiritual leader, she was scrutinized, criticized, and challenged within the religious community she loved and served for most of her life, based on her gender alone, rather than appreciated and affirmed for her compassion, intelligence and spiritual acuity. She was a remarkable individual and it's her persistence, strength, and understanding of love and humanity which has grounded me and inspired me to serve as a spiritual liaison and mentor within the Church of Humanity. Whatever our religious affiliation, we share and are bound together by the richness and complexity of the human condition - we can't escape it, but we can commune together and serve one another for the greater good of all. This is my purpose - to serve - to bring love, light, and compassion to the lives of others wherever they may be in their life's journey.
