I’m been a non-denominational student of The Word for my entire life.

While I fully support churches, I, like many, have became discouraged at change in churches over the years. With a few exceptions, many churches have transitioned from “people” to buildings and a sign of social status in some cases.

Growing up, I’ve always believed that the church IS the people just as the song of the Bible verse that says “Know ye not, YOU are the TEMPLE of the Holy Ghost.”

God has given us a spirit of discernment - an ability to determine our own beliefs. Outside a few non-negotiable beliefs set forth in the Bible, our minor variations in our interpretation should not make us outcasts in our “church.”

WE are the ones responsible for our own judgement day. WE alone have to be accountable. Why should we fully entrust that to others?
