The decision to become joined in marriage is one of life's greater joys and can be an opportunity for both individuals to grow and experience fulfillment beyond life as a single person. The challenges of navigating the uncertain paths of life can teach us humility, strength, and faith in one another to work as one toward a goal. The marriage vow is a declaration of resolve to embrace fundamental principles which will govern a relationship. It is a statement which transcends any legal or cultural proscription. Marriage requires us to live beyond our own personal interests, to engage the concerns and needs of our beloved. As a Minister I want to ensure that those I wed understand the nature of the act which binds them to each other. I want them to always remember the moment they utter their vow to fortify their commitment, provide comfort and declare their love to the world.
