ABOUT CHAPLAIN LANCE Chaplain Steven Lance continues in his role as the County Chaplain for the Sons of the American Legion (Ocean County, New Jersey S.A.L. 2019-Present).

Steven concurrently continues to serve as the Chaplain for the Sons of the American Legion Squadron, American Legion Post 348, Brick, New Jersey (2018-Present).

Chaplain Lance serves in the Catholic Church as both a Lector and Usher (2009-Present)

Knights of Columbus, Third-Degree Knight, in Good Standing (2010-Present)

Chaplain Lance also serves as a Lector and Sunday School teacher for the Lutheran Church. (2016-Present)

For four years, Chaplain Lance served as "The Voice of Restore Church" (Havre de Grace MD) a bible-based church of God. Narration and bible character voices for production videos shown in-church, in pre-recorded video programs, and live performances (2012-2016).

When Chaplain Lance is not serving in the Church, he works as a Substitute English Teacher at the Intermediate and High School levels.

His work as a substitute English Teacher also affords him the flexibility to work as an actor, both on and off-camera (www.imdb.me/StevenLance).

And it is these acting skills that enhance Chaplain Lance's ability to memorize and deliver lines (which in this case are the eulogy notes), with perfect diction in his smooth, soothing, and friendly Rich Bass voice.

Perhaps most importantly is Steven's sincere and caring personality which comes across in his interactions with attending family members and friends. Chaplain Lance speaks warmly and respectfully before the gathering of mourners, while exuding the feeling of a long-time association with the deceased and family. This is accomplished though his in-depth pre-service discussions with family members and friends that help him learn about the person he is about to Celebrate, Memorialize, or lay to rest. This pre-service interview takes place via phone days ahead of the service, giving Chaplain Lance time to prepare salient notes.

Please note that if your loved one was a member of the armed services, several very special elements will be included in Chaplain Lance's service. At your request, a military three-gun salute and flagged casket with military honor guard can also be arranged.

You can also count on Chaplain Steven Lance to remain behind after the service to chat with family and friends offering words of condolence and encouragement.

Lastly, if you are not completely satisfied with his performance as your Chaplain, he will graciously waive his honorarium.
