~MARRIAGE- I take the sanctity of marriage serious. How serious? I was married twice and divorced twice and now I am much older, wiser and a lot more patient and understanding. Marriage is more involved then people think it is. It is all about sacrificing for your partner but also knowing when your needs must come first. A successful marriage is a lot of give and take! I must be honest and say that it took my past marriages to truly understand after the fact what a marriage actually is. I have been through a lot and then some and everyday I learn more and share what I can with those willing to listen. Being able to share my lessons (mistakes) with others that are planning on exchanging vows or currently married and just not happy is a special gift I can offer from my life's experiences. Marriage is the beginning—the beginning of the family—and is a life-long commitment. It also provides an opportunity to grow in selflessness as you serve your partner and if you so decide to have children. Marriage is more than a just a physical union; it is a spiritual and emotional union. As for HandFastings which is a new experience in my life I recommend it to all faiths. This is not just a Wiccan practice and is a great way to create a bond with your partner that you can frame as a keepsake of your special day. ~HOME BLESSINGS Since I was very young blessing homes always came so naturally to me. Whenever we would go to someone's new home I always felt it was important to clear the house of negative energy. Understand I was like 9 years old! So sage, dressed candles, incense, holy water and fresh cut flowers were always a huge part of my life. We all long for that perfect positive life filled with good energy but with the YING you must have the YANG so the negative energy exist and it can make things difficult but in my heart it makes me appreciate the good times even more. We need the darkness to understand how amazing the light really is and this is why blessing your home is so very important. Your home should be a place of peace and tranquility. Life can be tough but after a tough day at work at school or just out and about home should be where you can truly relax and if your home feels heavy, congested you owe it to yourself to have your house feel like a home again. You would be surprised how letting in some new positive energy and fresh air can change the chemistry of your home. I bless my own home quite often and I always sleep so much better.

~PET FUNERALS My background has been in animal welfare and rescue for many years and I have also had to bury many of my own pets and as an ex-animal control officer thousands of pets for my states largest facility I always made sure every animal knew they were loved before they crossed. It wasn't until I became an animal control officer and I dealt with thousands of strays that I learned that they should also feel love even if they had a miserable and abusive life. It is as important for you as a pet mom and dad as it is for your children and to your pet to find closure. As children many of our parents just flushed or quickly buried our furry, feathered, finned and scaled friends and we were forced to move on without really saying not just good bye but thank you for being my friend and showing me such unconditional love.
