John Cameron Garcia
Ordained Minister in Menifee, California
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
became an ordained minister online to assist friends and family with secular ceremonies, such as weddings, in a way that aligns with legal requirements. As a Muslim, my primary focus remains on my faith, and I approach this role from a practical standpoint without engaging in rituals that contradict Islamic teachings. It was simply a way to support loved ones in a meaningful capacity.
Where are you from?
I’m originally from Texas, but being in the military has taken me to a few different places. I’ve lived in Japan, then California, and now I’m stationed in Virginia.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
With my online ordination, I hope to support and officiate wedding ceremonies for people from diverse backgrounds, including those who are not Muslim, in a way that aligns with my personal values and beliefs. As a Muslim, I focus on facilitating meaningful and inclusive ceremonies that remain respectful of my faith while helping others celebrate their special moments legally and joyfully.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Menifee, CA wedding officiant?
I believe what makes my ceremonies special as a wedding officiant is the unique perspective I bring as both a Muslim and a military service member. My faith teaches me that love is a divine blessing, and my military experience has shown me that love can thrive even in the most challenging and unexpected places. Whether in a war-torn area or far from home, love has a way of uniting people and bringing hope. I strive to reflect this belief in my ceremonies, reminding couples that their love is a powerful force capable of overcoming any obstacle.
