By day, I am an associate dean at a major law school and have over 40 years' counseling, public speaking, and event management experience. By night and weekends, I write tributes, parodies, songs, and poems for life cycle events (retirements, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings) of family, friends, and those who find me through referral. Personalizing your wedding ceremony is a given; however, based on your vision for the day, I provide a balance of substance, warmth and humor, so that you and your guests will have a celebration to remember for years to come.

My fee includes: 1. At least one meeting, whether by Zoom or in person, during which I can learn about your history as a couple, your aspirations for the future, and any joys or concerns that you would like to incorporate into your ceremony. 2. Attendance at the wedding rehearsal, so that you feel totally relaxed on your wedding day. 3. A charitable donation to a non-profit organization of the couple's choosing (non-religious; non-political). The couple who selects me to officiate their wedding will embrace the belief that while we celebrate this joyous occasion, we should also think about those less fortunate.

Given the global pandemic, I have been asked if I will perform a ceremony via Zoom -- this is doable but we should discuss by phone. The marriage license, signed by witnesses, must be completed and returned to the County Clerk's office within a few days of the ceremony, so we have to work out those logistics. I have also been asked about group gatherings at this time. My expectation is that we follow the health standards provided to us by state government as well as utilize common sense. As of this writing, July 1, 2020, gatherings should be small and social distancing should be in place. There will be time for big celebrations at a later date, yet you can begin your journey as a couple now.
