Jonathon Bellehaven
Ordained Minister in Hartford City, Indiana
Why did you originally become an ordained minister online?
I spent my life studying and discussing amongst peers the differences and commonalities between spiritual beliefs and practices and decided that no one single religion or faith had it right. There are many paths to take to reach the mountaintop, and each is its own beautiful and unique journey. It is not our place to judge others for the paths they choose or are set upon. My place is to be a guide, a smile, a shoulder, a helping hand when called upon. To be a safe space where others feel comfortable being their most authentic selves. To that end, I became ordained online after receiving the practical education required elsewhere.
Where are you from?
Originally I'm from Michigan, but have lived all over the East Coast: Michigan, Vermont, New Hampshire, Florida, Georgia, etc.though I spent the majority of my formative years nestled in the valleys at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains in North Georgia. Presently I call Indiana my home.
What do you hope to achieve with your online ordination?
I have already achieved it. My goal is to be a guide, a light, a safe haven for others. To provide them with spiritual and clergy services as needed, and to help to bring a smile to people's faces as they celebrate moments that will make lasting memories.

What do you think makes your ceremonies special as a Hartford City, IN wedding officiant?
I custom-write each ceremony to be tailor-fit to the couple based on how they met, their family circumstances, and their spiritual beliefs regardless of whether their beliefs are similar or outrageously different from one another. I find the common grounds and I make a ceremony that honors them both as well as any family in attendance.
