Wilburn Stancil Lassiter

I served in the United States Navy for 21 Years. I served as a Hospital Corpsman for 8 years and was selected and served as a Navy Counselor for 13 years. I served as a personnel and retention advisor to (2) Admirals, a Commodore and a USMC Major General. I am a Vietnam veteran. My military awards include The Meritorious Service Medal,(3) Navy Achievement Medals and The Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross. I retired a Senior Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the Navy I worked in the insurance and automobile finance business. In 1990, I accepted a position with Richland School District One as a Naval Science Instructor. I served on the faculty of a local high school from where I secondly retired. My family and I owned and operated our own retail business, a gift shop for 15 years. I am a member of DAV, the Fleet Reserve Association and the Vietnam Veterans of America. I am a graduate of Mohegan Universary and hold (3) Honorary Doctorate Degrees. I was ordained in OCT 2012. I am the CEO/Founder of "The Mariner's Cross" a military ministry serving those who serve(d). I am a bond servant of Jesus Christ "but still not worthy to unfasten the sandals on his feet".
