I feel that EVERY individual has the right to choose their own path in life and practice the faith of their chosing, and have their beliefs respected and honored as part of who they are as a human being. I am a very outgoing person, with a personality to match. Some folks say that I never meet a stranger. I believe we are all on our own journey, and that every individual develops their own personal faith and belief system. I chose to become an Ordained Minister after attending a dear friends funeral on September 14, 2019. The pastor said some of the most inappropriate things about her that I feel never should be said about anyone during their Eulogy. I feel like no matter what the family tells you about the person you should not bring that up during the funeral but that you should share the good things, deeds and memories of the individual no matter what kind of lifestyle they lived. The family doesn't need to sit there and here someone talk in a negative light about their loved one. I came home that night very disturbed by what he said. I also had been playing with the idea of becoming ordained for several years now as several people I know or am acquainted with have needed a minister to either officiate a wedding for themselves/or a loved one or a funeral of a loved one. My sister from another mister even joked about me getting ordained and marrying her to her fiance' in the near future. So, as soon as I posted that I had become an Ordained Minister, I immediately got dates set for weddings and sadly even people who want me to do the Eulogy for their loved one who is sick and not expected to make it much longer.
