Alexis Yvonne

I am a poet and an educator in the City of Wilmington and I became deeply invested in wedding ceremonies as I am planning my own wedding. I was amazed at how difficult it is to find an officiant who was willing to tailor our ceremony to match who we are. I believe a wedding ceremony should be personalized for to each couple. I became an ordained Minister when my sister and her husband were struggling to find a pastor to fit their needs. After a few conversations about what they wanted for their ceremony, I was able to write a ceremony and a poem that matched exactly who they are as a couple. I would give the same time and attention to detail to every couple I work with because I believe every couple deserves to have the perfect ceremony.

I have a strong belief in a Higher Power and I am a very spiritual person, but I have no specific religious affiliation. I am here simply to make the couple feel comfortable and to help make their ceremony exactly what they want it to be. I was raised in the Christian faith, but as a knowledge seeker, I have done research on many different religions. If there is a tradition or religious practice that you wish to have incorporated in your ceremony, I will be happy to oblige. I can be as traditional as or as unorthodox as the couple prefers.
