How did you get started in this business?
I've honestly felt a calling to work in a religious field all my life, however, the main stream Churches and Temples just were not right for my taste. I wanted to find something with Authority, without the higher-up's telling me I couldn't dress up as Batman to perform a wedding. (Who doesn't want to be Batman)?
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have been honored to work with many different people, in beliefs and ceremonies. I've worked with the LGBTQIA, And many people of many faiths and styles. I am open to all believes.
Describe a recent event you are fond of:
In regards to my friends, any event I've bared witness too has needless to say, been a fond event for me. A wedding we did in St. Thomas' Catholic Church was Awesome! I missed out on the Haunting, in their grave yard, but I am sure I'll have the chance to do something like that again!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would just say this. Anyone can get a licenses to Officiate your wedding. Just as anyone could find some salt, bless it, find some water, bless it, mix them together, rebless it, and go chaise your demons. Anyone could do that. Yes. But, I would find someone who has delt with weddings, delt with Demons, delt with sickness, delt with life, before I would hire them. Anyone can teach, but a real teacher is the one who learns.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Privacy - Your clients should be offered a space with a high degree of privacy in which to discuss their concerns. A white noise machine can help you create a sound barrier inside a building or home where other activity is taking place. Time - Sessions should begin and end on time and, as much as possible, be uninterrupted. Set aside 30 - 60 minutes for dedicated discussion. Discretion - Some people are quite sensitive over the prospect of seeking therapy, especially for relationship concerns. Your clients should be able to trust that you will be professionally discrete about the assistance you provide. Professionalism - This counseling should be conducted with as much professionalism as possible. The concerns your clients bring are very intimate; they are trusting you with very personal details about their life together. This should be treated with a great deal of care. Also, recognize when you are unable to help. There may be a point at which you refer your clients to another provider or to relevant legal or community entities. You should also look into what legal limits and obligations affect this particular work. Though a minister's license may be the minimum required for clerical counseling, you should familiarize yourself with the legal and professional guidelines of your state. This will help keep you and your practice on the right side of the law.
